Before we get started I'm not here to make anyone feel their style is not true style but more so understand exactly what style is. Style - a particular kind, sort , or type , as with reference to form, appearance , or character.
Style is basically what makes you your own individual in this vast world we live in.
“Anyone else cant keep up with all these trends lately ?" I feel like every time I refresh one of my social media TL's there's something completely new going on. The only thing I do not understand is how much we scream originality when truthfully everyone is doing the exact same thing.
LETS GET INTO IT : Fashion & Style- Two words but with different views.
Fashion is basically what we see everywhere Top designer brands, online boutiques and commercials. Social media has made it a mission to make people feel like if your not in the "it" then your not in. Fashion is simply a TREND. We promote to be trend setters/starters but is it such a great feeling? Having a certain look that was yours suddenly become a thing for the ENTIRE world. I'm not sure about anyone else but for me personally after a day I would feel as if my identity was stolen without my consent.
What makes style more authentic....
Style is a way to show of who you are without having to explain it in words. We put so many different name labels on ourselves but what if we can do it without saying anything. Style is more unique, original, authentic... its YOU. When you wake up and style your outfit for the day you usually put on what makes you feel comfortable inside and out. Style screams this is me and i do not care as to what society will view it as. When you embrace your style your embrace yourself. Preppy, 90's, Cosplay, Tom boy, Casual , WHATEVER it is if that style fits you then you wear the shxt out of it with no remorse !
