I cannot express enough how important your mental Health is. You cannot exceed at anything if your main source is not able to function properly. Each Week I will post affirmations, videos ,websites etc. that will get your mind flowing. Mental Health Illness is Real and its a scary unexplainable feeling but that doesn't mean you cannot continue in life because of it.
You know what really infuriates me is how the next generation is using depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder etc. as a trend. No as a freaking PR stunt! I'm all for people on high platforms putting a light on things we should speak more about. But misusing it to a point where serious people in serious conditions cannot even get proper look at is dangerous.
I am able to speak on such a sensitive topic because I deal with this a lot myself. I have recurrent Major Depressive disorder and very bad anxiety. I've had it for years but not until 2016-2017 did I realize and truly understand it. For me personally having depression in not only a African American home but Caribbean household is very hard. They tend to dismiss such a thing, nothing is truly wrong with you or my favorite "Only white people get that". To me i believe they are just so afraid as to what comes with mental illnesses they feel self cures and assurance will fix it all. If you feel as though something is wrong and want to work on it find those resources ! Never let the opinion of someone else mislead you , your gut is always there to steer you right.
