Date Night / Dine Out (Boston, MA)

Once again i fell into the one craving i will never give up, TRYING NEW FOOD PLACES! So it was restaurant week and being the person i am i took advantage of it. My goal was to try three different places but unfortunately my schedule became too busy. Instead i tried one by bringing my boyfriend on a surprise date . if you haven't read my last food post where i introduced restaurant week ill give a brief background.

Its basically two weeks where most high class or local restaurants offer a three course meal or selected items for a fixed price. Its offered for the lunch and dinner menu for these prices:

Lunch $15/$20/$25 | Dinner $28/$33/$38 per person

Although the prices offered do vary by restaurant. Now this only includes food, drinks are not included and you must be aware of tax/gratitude. Its a great way for locals and visitors out of state to try new places.

We went to Amelias ! Located in Stoughton, MA

Its so ironic because i was supposed to visit this particular restaurant so many times and never did. So i guess the date plus restaurant week pushed me a bit more to go Hahaha

The moment you enter it really is a beautiful setting. From the decoration, to the hospitality and honey endless sections for great pics. A lot of restaurants participating in restaurant week will already have the dine out menu included when your seated or you can simply ask for it. For Amelia's they offer a three course menu which i included to the right hand side.

I went along with the Caesar salad, Bucatini and Cheesecake.

My boyfriend had the Chicken wings (4) , Center Cut Brandt Beef 6-ounce Filet Mignon and Cheesecake as well. Oh, and of course i had to have some wine. I had a glass of Saracco Moscato and to be honest i'm upset i was never introduced to it sooner.

The only issue i had was the entrée i ordered. The Bucatini was more on the sweet side although the jumbo shrimp in it was perfect. I did realize after tasting it the same glass of wine i had was also in the dish. I believe too much wine was just added that time which explains the sweeter taste. Sweet pasta is just not my style unless its sugar in my spaghetti lol. I loved my boyfriends dish the meat was cooked perfectly and we love some crunchy asparagus. Lets just say i took more bites out of his plate than i did mine lol but thats okay! Besides this small issue i still had an amazing date and enjoyed the place. This is definitely a place for intimate settings or to hold any celebrations. I added a quick video of our dishes, i really need to do better taking pictures instead of diving into the plate. I also hate being that one person who is taking pictures with the flash in such a dimly lit setting. Uhhhh the blogger life i have to be in now and all the crazy things that come with it . Im now THAT person lol but so be it, i love it here.

**Restaurant week is held twice a year in Boston for two weeks during March & August. if you weren't able to attend this month be on the look out in August **

Amelia's prices are not that bad at all , we will be adding this to our date night roulette. Next week i will be going to Darryl's Corner Bar & Kitchen so look out for the next food post about them! This place ive been itching to go to :)
